Answer 1. I began volunteering while in school doing respite work for an early intervention program and have friends and family who work in applied behaviour analysis.

Answer 2. We need to continue building important supports in school, health care and with accessible infrastructure so that people living with disabilities can reach their full potential. When I hear other parties talk about budget cuts, I am concerned that this will mean a reduction in supports like Education Assistants in schools or health care professionals in our care facilities. I am proud to support the NDP’s plan to continue investing in these important services so that they are there for all Manitobans.

Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba Candidate - Ian Wishart

Answer 1. My immediate family is currently not impacted by a disability. Both of my parents had disability issues later in life, one with Alzheimer's and with mobility issues.

Answer 2. Many public buildings still need better access, especially older buildings. The process for creating access in older retail buildings has just begun while newer retail is designed much better for access.
