Answer 1: Our family has been affected by disability issues in a number of ways. One member of my family has developed a progressively worsening vision issue. He has been aided in many ways by C.N.I.B, but struggles to maintain his independence and requires more and more assistance. His balance is affected, even with aids like a cane. Another member of my family lives with mobility issues and struggles with walking and climbing stairs. This has had a great impact on me as a politician. I work hard to ensure people can enjoy independence and get the support they need.

Answer 2: One of the greatest challenges in Concordia is that many people living with disabilities are doing so on inadequate fixed incomes. I am committed to working with our government to provide an assured income for persons living with disabilities, as well as providing more residential options with full accessibility. We also need to continue to fully implement our accessibility legislation and standards.
